“I am originally from Southern California. Until recently, my work has focused on portraits and the nude figure. After years of living in various cities across the country, my wife Elizabeth and I wanted a change in lifestyle. While visiting family in Geneseo, we fell in love with its verdant countryside and decided that this was where we wanted to be. The oil paintings in this exhibition represent my first attempts at capturing the beauty that surrounds our new home. Each scene depicted can be found in the fields and woods around Nations Road in both Avon and Geneseo.” - Richard
