The Gallery in the Valley is a small art gallery in the heart of downtown Geneseo, NY dedicated to local artists and the beauty they capture and create in the Genesee Valley and beyond.

Every Wednesday • 12pm-6pm •
BYOP (Bring Your Own Project)

On Wednesdays each week, our workshop tables is open for anyone to bring their own art project to work on alongside other area artists and makers. We also have paper, pens, pencils, markers, and typewriters that can be used if you don’t have a project to work on.

Book Launch Party @ The Gallery

Join us for a launch party for a new novel by Laura Valentino inspired by a book-loving daughter, the real history of Geneseo, and the idea that the books we love can connect us across time.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase, the author will be there to sign copies and chat about the process of writing and self-publishing a novel, and we’ll have light snacks and refreshments available!

Art Party feat. Susanne Hartke

Join us on the third Friday of September for an art party to celebrate the works of Susanne Hartke!

Susanne Hartke is a visual artist, graphic designer, and art educator based in Avon, New York. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University and a Master of Science in Art Education from Nazareth College. For more than two decades, she has balanced careers in education and graphic design, while continuing to develop her studio practice. Her paintings are characterized by bold color, layered pattern, and thoughtful composition, drawing inspiration from travel, memory, and everyday experiences.
