“I’m an artist living in York, NY. My current form of creative expression is centered on photography, which I just took up about six years ago. Prior to the pandemic, Jacqueline’s life was pretty uneventful, she was mainly just lurking, impeccably attired of course, in the corner of my living room, startling unsuspecting guests. When Covid-19 was ramping up, so was my anxiety, which as it turned out, was a great motivator for creativity. Inspired by my mother's flair for fashion, a collection of vintage wares and my own quirky sense of humor, Jacqueline the Mannequin's unreal, real life began to take shape. Blessed with an active imagination, I began dreaming up shots for her around my house and yard. Eventually we were able to venture further from home and this is what makes up much of the January With Jacqueline exhibit. I'm hopeful this art evokes a sense of whimsy in those who view it.”
